Ashley Kolaya

Ashley Kolaya moved to Frankfort from South Carolina in 2006. After stumbling upon the Logan St. garden by accident while running with her dogs one day, Ashley discovered the power that both collective effort and local food have to inspire people. Since she knows next to nothing about gardening, Ashley has supported Frankfort's community gardening initiative by increasing community awareness. She works with local school groups to educate and engage youth, and she helped to spearhead the effort to create a garden in Frankfort's Bellepoint neighborhood. With the help of Commonwealth Gardens, Ashley has eaten some of her greatest meals and made some of her best friends.
